The storybook Añaani Katonkosatzi Parenini, now available at the Curt Nimuendaju Digital Library, is a result of my two-year collaborative work with twenty two speakers of Ashéninka Perené (Arawak) from the villages of Bajo Marankiari, Villa Perené, Pampa Michi, Mariscal Cáceres, and Pucharini, Chanchamayo Province, Peru. The publication of one hundred copies of the storybook was funded by the ELDP Small Grant 0002 as part of the 2009-2011 language documentation project “Documentation and description of Ashéninka Perené (Arawak)”.
